New iPhone 3GS Unveiled and Confirmed!

On June 8, 2009 at 3:43 pm, in: Design & Experience

During today’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2009, Apple unveiled the new iPhone 3GS along with the new MacBook Pro.

It’s a very exciting news for me considering I’ve been wanting to get the iPhone for a long time now, but kept hearing about the new hardware coming out during this summer. ¬†Finally with an actual release date I can now make the jump from my old Blackberry 8100 Pearl.

iPhone 3GS 16GB is priced at $199 (32GB for $299), a very reasonable price for a newly-released phone.  Some new features including:

  • Brand new camera (captures video too!)
  • Tap-to-focus feature (tap any part of a photo and it focuses automatically)
  • Increase in storage capacity and RAM
  • Improved battery life (up to 9 hours of surfing, 10 hours of video, 30 hours of audio, 12 hours of 2g talk-time, 5 hours of 3g talk-time)
  • Voice control interface
  • Data encryption

Now I know where I’ll be in the morning of June 19th.

It's Excitingly Quiet Here...
